Independent concept · Craft & construction · Lead generation

Making technical craft feel credible before the first call.

Brief

Design a high-confidence website for a fictional building studio that helps homeowners understand the work, process and likely project fit before requesting a quote.

The challenge

Construction websites often rely on generic claims and unstructured galleries. The concept needed to show precision, set expectations and qualify interest without making the company feel corporate.

Strategic principles

  • Use completed work as evidence rather than decoration
  • Explain the method before asking for an enquiry
  • Surface project type, scale and scope consistently
  • Let visitors estimate fit through an interactive planning tool

Design decisions

Every visual choice has a job.

01

Architectural hierarchy

A strict grid, oversized typography and orange functional accents borrow from plans and site markings rather than generic trade imagery.

02

Evidence with context

Project presentations pair visual work with scope and constraints so the visitor can compare it to their own needs.

03

Useful qualification

The estimator gives visitors a concrete starting point while helping frame budget and scope before contact.

What I built

A working concept, not a static mockup.

The studio, projects and estimator outputs are fictional. The case study demonstrates a lead-generation approach and working front-end interactions, not verified commercial performance.

  • Responsive project portfolio
  • Interactive budget estimator
  • Service and process sections
  • Qualified enquiry path
  • Mobile-first project layouts
